The Office of Intermodal Planning and Investment (OIPI) is located in the Office of the Secretary of Transportation to support and advise the Secretary in their role as chairperson of the Commonwealth Transportation Board.

The Virginia Port Authority manages cargo transported through six terminals to markets around the globe. Manufacturers, corporations and individual consumers use these goods and supplies in their everyday lives.

The Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) promotes, sustains, and expands passenger and commuter rail in the Commonwealth, and manages all administrative and fiduciary responsibilities for state-supported passenger rail services.

Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority

The Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority (also known as Virginia Space) promotes commercial space activity, economic development, and aerospace research within the Commonwealth. Virginia Space provides responsive and assured access to space for government and commercial entities.

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles

The DMV's responsibilities include vehicle titling /registration, driver licensing, and maintenance of driver and vehicle records. The DMV collects Virginia's fuel tax, monitors the trucking industry, and serves as Virginia's Highway Safety Office.

Motor Vehicle Dealer Board

Motor Vehicle Dealer Board

The Motor Vehicle Dealer Board (MVDB) provides regulation and oversight of the new and used car and truck dealer industry, including licensing and regulatory for recreational vehicles, motorcycles, and trailer dealers from DMV to MVDB.
