Becky Norton Dunlop is a resident of Wythe County.

Dunlop served as a senior official in the Reagan administration from 1981-1989 on the White House staff, at the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

She served from 1994-1998 as Virginia Secretary of Natural Resources during Governor George Allen’s administration.

In 2002, President George W. Bush appointed her to a part-time post as chairman of the Federal Service Impasses Panel.

She serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Reagan Ranch. She is a board member of the Virginia Institute for Public Policy, the American Stewards of Liberty, the Reagan Alumni Association and the Association of American Educators.  She and her husband, George Dunlop, are members of the Oakland Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia, and attend the Draper’s Valley Presbyterian Church in Draper, Virginia.

She and Mr. Dunlop happily reside in rural southwest Virginia on a state-maintained non-hard surface road.
