Randolph “Randy” Laird of Staunton, Virginia, is co-founder and treasurer of Elk Logistics LLC and Elk Trucking, Inc. Laird previously served as chairman of John D. Eiland Company, an Anheuser-Busch distributor. Laird was also a co-founder of NTC Communications and president of James River Beverage Company and J&B Distributing Company.

Laird is a past member of several boards including the Augusta Health Finance Committee, the Shenandoah Shared Hospital Services and the Regional Advisory Board of Wachovia Bank. He is a past director of the American Frontier Cultural Museum Foundation, past president of the Virginia Beer Wholesalers Association, past director of the Virginia Wine Wholesalers Association and past chairman of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Small Business Committee.

Laird received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
