John P. Good Jr., of Frederick County, Virginia, currently serves as treasurer of Shockey Management Company. Shockey is a general contractor and an owner/developer/redeveloper of industrial real estate. Shockey’s owned portfolio includes over 4 million square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space in Virginia and West Virginia as well as more than 1,000 acres of land for future development. Good has been employed at Shockey for 45 years.
Good is a 1976 graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics. He is a certified public accountant. He grew up and worked on the family beef cattle and crop farm in Frederick County.
Good has previously served as state president of the Virginia Independent Auto Dealers Association and the FFA (Future Farmers of America) Alumni Association.
Good is vice president of Farmers Livestock Exchange Inc. in Winchester and has served on its Board for more than 25 years. He also is a director of Winchester Cold Storage Company (more than 25 years) and Virginia Apple Storage Inc. (three years).
Good has been a partner in and is currently secretary-treasurer of Blue Ridge Industries Inc., a plastic injection molder and manufacturer in Frederick County for more than 35 years.
