Greg Yates, born and raised in Culpeper, Virginia, owns and manages Yates Properties, LLC, a real estate brokerage firm managing over 200 residential and commercial properties in Culpeper, Orange, Madison, and Rappahannock, Virginia. He also serves as the principal for Deer Ridge Development, Inc., a property development firm engaged in building and restoring commercial and residential properties.

Yates is married to Liz Yates who works with him as a design consultant. They have one son, Cameron, and one daughter, Jessica. He enjoys hiking, tennis, skiing and traveling with his family.

Yates served on numerous boards and associations, including the Shenandoah National Park Trust, the State Theatre Foundation, and the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors.
