FY2026-2031 Six-Year Improvement Program Spring Meetings

Overview

You are invited to share comments on transportation projects that have been recommended for funding in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026-2031 Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP). Additionally, pursuant to §33.2-202 of the Code of Virginia, comments will be accepted for new projects valued in excess of $25 million. The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) will consider your comments as it develops the FY2026-2031 SYIP. The program allocates public funds to highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation projects. All federally eligible projects in the SYIP will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to document how Virginia plans to obligate its federal funds.

The public is able to provide feedback on the FY2026-2031 SYIP update at the spring meetings for the corresponding VDOT construction district on the dates and times noted below. All meetings will be conducted in person with an opportunity for public comment.  

Public Comment and Participation

Please provide your comments on highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation projects in the Draft Fiscal Year 2026-2031 SYIP to be approved by the CTB in June 2025.

The public is invited to share feedback on transportation projects that have been recommended for funding by submitting comments through the online form, by email or posted mail by May 21, 2025.
